Important advice: Check your insurance!

We would like to inform all ERASMUS- and other exchange students of University College Arteveldehogeschool that they will need to prove that they are properly insured while they are studying at or undertaking practice organised by University College Arteveldehogeschool.

As an exchange student, it is advisable to arrange at least for the following insurances:

• Illness, diseases,… (social security)
• Personal accidents (during and outside ‘school activities’)
• Travel insurance
• Third party liability (especially important for practical placements)

Most universities and institutions have a reliable insurance for their students, for accidents occurring at the premises of the university or (practical placement) institution, for third party liability etc. Please check this with your own university and – if possible – bring a proof of this insurance (in Dutch, English or French) with you.

If you are not able to check or arrange your own insurance or if you are not sure of the value of your insurance, University College Arteveldehogeschool can help you to find an insurance for the duration of your stay in Gent as an exchange student.
